A SMALL SAMPLE OF ANOTHER PROJECT IN PROGRESS

This is currently in the works --it will be painted soon. When these pictures were taken, some details had not been added yet. Any guesses as to what it is?? or what it's from????  I had started it for a certain model and am having to use it for something else-----------more on that to follow! I'll build more when I go back to the first version of the project. Any guesses??? Eric---you can't guess because you already know all about it!

This car is about one inch in length --the red-handkerchief man is 1/8th inch scale! The wheels
should really be centered closer, but for the use of this model --on a larger model that won't matter. When I make another set I will correct this.

So anyone know what this is??

A few more shots of the Swiss Family Tree House

some close ups of the "parlor" assembly.

eventually some other details were added, but all you see here had to go in before this level was added to the tree structure.

notice the "Swiss" style chairs! Even a small heart is cut-out in the backrest.

A stair and walkway assembly pre-painted before insertion.

A scale cast member welcomes us!

The water wheel and part of the lift mechanism. The grid is 1inch square.

This gives you an idea of how big the treehouse really is. The model needed to fit a a specific case-The glass top is not shown here

SWISS FAMILY ROBINSON TREEHOUSE MODEL Construction progression

Here you can see how the superstructure of the "tree" is done amost the exact same formation as the real tree was done. Rather than steel..........it's styrene!!

ACTUAL TREEHOUSE LEAF HIDDEN ON MODEL!!

Here you can see one of the actual leafs salvaged from real Swiss Family Treehouse attraction!!

Swiss Family Treehouse model assorted views

Here you can see the model from various angles. It was built from 85% blueprints. It had to fit in a certain displaycase, so I had to reduce the surrounding area like the rushing stream in front.

SWISS FAMILY ROBINSON TREEHOUSE MODEL -Disneyland c. 1978

This is a model of the SWISS FAMILY ROBINSON TREEHOUSE at Disneyland--the way it looked about 1978. It was done by request from a friend of mine who I worked with back at Disney........The model is built at 1/8th scale and with the exception that it was created out of plastic and foam, it was constructed almost exactly the whay the REAL attraction structure was built! I'll post a series of pictures so you can follow the scale building process.
